WK 5: Every Time We Touch Feel Good Inc. |
![]() In Living Color Who could have predicted that Wanda Wayne the ugliest woman in the world would become such a big, fat star? Wanda Wayne, the woman so ugly, that no one wanted to be in the same room as her. Course the Wanda that we are talking about is the hilarious character created by Jamie Foxx while on the TV show, In Living Color. Yes, Jamie Foxx, the same man who won a Best-Actor Academy Award last year for Ray, his portrayal of Ray Charles. And this week Foxx makes his debut on the FML, thanks to his hit disc, Unpredictable. Meanwhile, according to one of the entertainment shows, the man who is notorious for his partying ways does not have a date for the upcoming Oscars. Foxx went on to say that he likes his women thick, long-legged and with nice dumps. Any takers? Natalie Horler Last year we had the FML artist, D.H.T.'s smash cover of Roxette's Listen to Your Heart, and today we have Cascada who recently released the eTrack cover of Maggie Reilly's Everytime We Touch. German group Cascada is recognized around the globe as the trio - Natalie Horler, DJ/producers Yanou and DJ Manian. Believe it or not, no fewer than nine remixes are available on the single. And so you know, signing a debut artist before the trading deadline of Monday noon PT and then keeping them for two weeks will earn your label a Debut Artist Bonus of $250,000. Feel Good Inc. One of the most widely held artists on the FML is the virtual band Gorillaz. Will their revenue power hit super-speed after they open the upcoming Grammy Awards with a five-time Grammy winner? What if we told you that Gorillaz are performing a duet with Madonna? Yeah, we thought so too. The group will be presented via 3D color animation in what the Grammy's are calling a first for network television. We can only imagine which Material Girls songs will make it into the musical medley. Gorillaz's Feel Good Inc. featuring De La Soul is up for record of the year, best pop collaboration with vocals and best short form music video, and the group's Dirty Harry featuring Bootie Brown is vying for best urban/alternative performance. The Breakthrough Meanwhile Mary J. Blige is the artist with the largest surge in revenue generation since last week. The woman who has risen like the phoenix from a life of drugs and poverty, aptly titled her new album, The Breakthrough. Anyone smart enough to buy the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul saw a revenue increase of 325 percent since last week.
