WK 3: Stop Snitchin' Stop Lyin'
Hercules Gets Married
BOSTON, MA Friday Jan.20.2006 /FantasyMusicLeague.com/ -- The FML Insider's speaks the truth: 50 Cent's arch nemesis strikes again but 50 has the last laugh, which music icon's middle name is Hercules, and finally why everyone in the FML should dread Fetzmonger.
Stop Snitchin' Stop Lyin'
The ongoing feud between rappers, 50 Cent and The Game has just reached new heights. The Game (aka Jayceon Taylor) got the nickname 'Game' from his grandmother because he was always game for anything - basketball, running track, riding bikes and playing in the street. Meanwhile, the latest DVD release featuring The Game - Stop Snitchin' Stop Lyin' -- has been permanently cancelled. According to the producers of the controversial documentary DVD about the Game lets viewers in on the truth about his infamous feud with 50 Cent. However the distributor has cancelled the release because it allegedly shows the Game stealing a rim from a basketball court at nemesis 50 Cent's Connecticut home. According to an LA Times journalist who saw the film, the Game and his posse break and enter into 50 Cent's compound and mock the rapper while playing basketball in a court on his property. The Game makes a slam dunk, accidentally breaks the rim, and then takes off with it. Regardless 50 Cent gets the last laugh on the FML because The Game is one of the most-dropped artists of the week.
Sir Elton John's civil partnership certificate recording his recent wedding to David Furnish was released, revealing his middle name as Hercules. Who knew? Well it does turn out he wasn't born a Hercules. Years ago, the music superstar, took the Greek hero as a middle name when he officially changed his name from Reginald Kenneth Dwight. The groom and groom sported black morning suits as they 'tied the knot' with 700 other gay couples who married in England in the historic same-sex civil ceremonies.
Next week the FML gets Gold Bonuses. So pick'em right. Chris Brown's cheap signing price of $2 million would have earned almost 5 million for your fantasy label this week. Meanwhile if you were one of the folks who bought Alicia Keys or The Killers for a whopping $24 million and $23 million respectively you walked home with zip, nada, zero, a big fat goose egg...you get the picture. Not to say that these artists won't be the hottest thing next week, that's what makes playing the FML so exciting.
With a name like Deadeye and Killshot Records it shouldn't surprise us that the player to beat is Fetzmonger. This season the player with the golden touch is Fetzmonger. This week Fetz holds the top TWO spots in the open league with almost a $3 million lead.
