image of Dean TsouvalasThe FML Insider tastes like whiskey & honey: Learn who is 'almost honest'; which FML artist is the next Bond Girl, how Amarpan has the digital juice, and why your knowledge of country music helps you win.

Only You
Josh Kelley is the only debut artist this week on the FML. Josh Kelley grew up in Georgia and started singing and playing acoustic guitar but his specialty was singing Snoop Dogg rhymes over Dave Matthews tunes. As a teen Kelley actually turned down a record deal so that he could head to college on a golf scholarship. This week Kelley's new album, Almost Honest, drops as he hopes to replicate his breakthrough success from his first album, For the Ride Home. Labels are sure to find financial gain from an artist who supposedly digs downing whiskey and honey (because he had an allergy infection,) while making a hit single, 'Only You.'

Country-phobic
Country music once again proves to be the Achilles heel for much of the FML. In almost all of the top performing labels at least one country artist is underperforming. As the Commish pointed out, while I was chillin' on the beach, "to win this game, you have to combine basic business skills with your love of music. Use those math and management tools you've honed to determine which of your stars are going to make the cash for you, whether you actually like their body of music or not." The top five best money making Country artists: Brad Paisley, Montgomery Gentry, Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan and Trisha Yearwood.

Unwritten
Natasha Bedingfield gives her labels a 319 percent increase in revenue generation this week. Bedingfield is an international superstar who is finally making some waves in the U.S. And like some pop princesses before her, Madonna and Tina Turner, Bedingfield has signed up to be the next Bond girl -- well at least on the next 007 video game. She already has songs over the closing credits on two previous 007 games.

Clean Sweep
We may be witnessing the birth of the next Clive Davis. FML player, Amarpan is currently in first place in the Open League and in the Indie League. The potential sweep by his labels Digital Roasters and My Second Roster would be a first for the FML. Keep your eye on the prize as diamonds drop next week.

Diamonds from Sierra Leone
Unlike the Kanye West single, you don't have travel to the danger zone in Africa to get a diamond. Next week Diamond Bonuses are dropping which may change any of the top three spots held by Digital Roasters, Deadeye Records, and Rivers739. If your artist achieves Diamond status, they would generate an additional 10 percent of the base revenue for all 13 weeks. That diamond bonus in week 13 might just earn you a notch or two higher in the rankings. And don't forget the top 20 players in the Open League win prizes.

Hook You Up
Each registered label for the fall 2005 season will receive a world famous FML T-shirt. This is a Hanes Heavyweight 100% preshrunk cotton tee, available in Adult sizes S,M,L,XL and 2XL. Wear it proudly, and when people ask about the game, tell them and invite them to join with your personal referral link.
