Week 12: Almost There Spring season makes its way to the finish line |
![]() Our Alternative chart starts out pretty much the same as last week: Linkin Park is at #1 again this week with "What I've Done," followed by Nine Inch Nails with "Capital G." But then The Used throw us for a loop by shooting up 8 spots, snagging the #3 position with "The Bird And the Worm." That caused a chain reaction, sending Fall Out Boy's "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" down a notch to #4, as well as Peter Bjorn and John's "Young Folks," which dipped to 5th place. Maroon 5 has made its way to the top of CHR this week with "Makes Me Wonder," Country queen Carrie Underwood is in 2nd place with "Before He Cheats," and pop-rocker Avril Lavigne scores the #3 spot with "Girlfriend." Daughtry remains at #4 since last week with "Home," and Pink squeezes into 5th place with the single "U + Ur Hand." Gwen Stefani and Rihanna made some waves on CHR this week. Stefani's "Sweet Escape" earned her a 9 spot leap and Rihanna's "Umbrella" boosted her number up by 8. (Watch out for this one - my prediction is the single will be this summer's new anthem). Bucky Covington has gotten quite comfy at the top of the Country charts - the "American Idol" grad has been at #1 for weeks now with his hit single, "A Different World." Billy Currington is at #2 with "Good Directions," Eric Church is in 3rd place with "Guys Like Me," and Cole Deggs and The Lonesome scores the #4 spot with "I Got More." And finally, Toby Keith shakes things up with his latest, "High Maintenance Woman." This week's Hot AC charts may make you think you're seeing double. Maroon 5's single "Makes Me Wonder" tops two charts simultaneously - CHR and Hot AC. Linkin Park is doing double-duty as well, hitting #2 with 'What "Ive Done." Carrie Underwood makes yet another appearance with "Before He Cheats" at #3, Avril Lavigne does it again with "Girlfriend" at #4, and Justin Timberlake is at #5 with "What Goes Around." Speaking of JT, he's back on top of the Urban charts, but this time with the single "Until The End Of Time," and Ne-Yo is our #2 man with "Do You." That pushed Beyonce Knowles to #3 with "Get Me Bodied," Bad-boy Akon slipped to #4 with "Dont Matter," and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony dipped down to 5th place. Haven't registered for the summer season?
