image of Laura KatzHello FML players! Welcome to 2007 and our first week of the brand-spanking-new FML season.

We all know anything can happen as far as the charts are concerned, but this week's stats just may be setting the stage for things to come.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have maintained their 2006 rank -the band is still a huge contender on the Alternative chart, and have scored the number 1 spot this week, not to mention making an appearance on Hot AC number 9.

My Chemical Romance is hot on the Peppers' heels at number 2, and with all the buzz around them right now, they may be sticking around there for a while.

It's no surprise that veteran act U2 is in our Alternative top 3 with the single "Window In The Skies" from their compilation album "U218 Singles."

The Fray tops the CHR ranks with "How To Save A Life," a hit song that was made even more wildly popular by the TV series "Grey's Anatomy." At number 2 is Evanescence, with Snow Patrol snagging the number 3 spot.

Nobody can seem to tackle the Rascal Flatts/Rodney Atkins/Jason Aldean triple-tier-threat. These Country stars have settled into the top 3 spots on this week's charts quite nicely.

The Fray is doing double-duty on the Hot AC charts - this week, the band appears for the second time at number 1, followed by John Mayer (who's rumored to be back with Jessica Simpson by the way). At number 3 is Evanescence, with their third appearance on this week's charts (they're also at number 8 on Alternative).

And finally, Justin Timberlake tops the Urban charts with "My Love" off of the "Future Sex/Love Sounds" album, Beyonce Knowles is showing that she's the one that's
"Irreplaceable" with the number 2 spot, and Senegalese soul singer Akon rounds it out at number 3.

Now, on to our labels: Our top three Open League players, Fetzmonger, Stevemoose and Amarpan have all been previous FML winners, and seem bent on carrying on the tradition. But I'm seeing some great rosters out there, with some respectable averages, so keep on keepin' on - at this point, it's anybody's game.

This is the perfect time to refer your friends and fill your pockets after the holiday craze with some extra cash.
Check out the My Referrals section to see how to get started.

Plus, remember that you have until Monday noon PT to make any artist switches to your roster. Good luck all!!!!!
