Week 13: Over...Prize Time For Top Dogs Final week is here, last chance to get on board for fall |
![]() Many of you indie folks may have had winning rosters had you been in the open league. So if any of you lone wolves out there want in on the action, better step off the sidelines...Monday October 2nd at NOON is the deadline to register your label with the open league. As we all know, a holding pattern is rare when it comes to the music industry. But there have been some artists who are making it clear that they intend to stick around for a while. One of these artists is pop diva Christina Aguilera, who is at #2 this week on both CHR and Hot AC Charts. Her latest release "Back To Basics" has clearly found an audience, and I forsee it doing well for a long time. Beyonce's new album "B-day" may be a flash in the pan, but she's made such a huge jump this week that I've reconsidered her potential for domination in the coming weeks. The Fray is has inched its way up to #3 on the CHR chart, and to #8 on the highly competitive Alternative chart. The group is definitely one to watch. Hinder's had a hefty growth spurt in popularity as well. They might not be toppling the Chilli Peppers anytime soon, but the buzz on the band says they're coming up strong. Some new faces on the scene: Fergie (CHR #19), Diddy (Urban #20), and Say Anything (Alternative #19). Fergie has the potential to rule the chick pop school, so I'd be watching her progress in the near future. Just to prepare y'all...we are upgrading the webservers on Monday afternoon and there may be a few hours where the site is unavailable. Many apologies for the inconvenience, but it'll help everything run more smoothly in the long run. Don't forget...Monday 10/2 before noon, live the dream and register your label for the open league. Don't let the prizes (not to mention the fun) slip by! More on Christina Aguilera ![]() More on The Fray ![]() More on Fergie ![]() |
