Week 4: Gold Bonuses
56 Artists share $33.7 million
NEW YORK, NY Friday Jul.28.2006 /FantasyMusicLeague.com/ -- Wow! Yep, that's all I have to say to Gnarls Barkley. He's incredibly popular on 4 of the 5 eTracks this week. Number one on the Alternative eTracks, HOT AC eTracks and Urban eTracks, along with being number 3 on the CHR eTracks. His base revenue along with weekly bonuses and the Gold Bonuses earned labels that have him signed a cool $10,780,000 this week.
This week we hand out $33.7 million in Gold Bonuses to a total of 56 artists. Earning the most is Red Hot Chili Peppers at $2 million, and a close second is (no surprise here) Gnarls Barkley with $1.9 million. A Gold Bonus is awarded to your Label four weeks after the start of the season, or four weeks after you sign an artist, and the artist has been on the eTracks for those four weeks. To clarify, if you sign an artist in week 3, then your Label's first chance to receive the Gold Bonus is in week 7. If an artist drops off the eTracks the continuous week counter is reset when they return.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus debut on the Alternative eTracks at number 12. Paris Hilton lands at number 17 on the CHR eTracks. And, on the Urban eTracks we have Missez and Sammie debuting at positions 19 and 20 respectively.
May I Please?
