Week 3: At The Races Win, Place and Show |
|
NEW YORK, NY Saturday Jul.22.2006 /FantasyMusicLeague.com/ -- If you had to bet on one artist to win, place or show then you couldn't go wrong by choosing Gnarls Barkley. His revenue is up 45% over last week. Landing number one on the Alt eTracks, number 2 on the Hot AC eTracks and number three on the CHR eTracks placed him atop the revenue earners this week. Along with his base revenue from the charts he was awarded an additional $500,000 in weekly bonuses. Following Gnarls Barkley on the top revenue generators are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rascal Flatts, Rihanna and Nickelback. From Out of Nowhere to Out in Front Sean Paul vaulted onto the top of the Urban eTracks. Whenever an artist jumps into the top position from below tenth position they're awarded all the top bonuses in one week. In this case Sean Paul was awarded a total of $650,000 in weekly bonuses. Jockeying for position As I review this week's standings I see that many labels are jockeying for position. As one or two of your Artists move up the charts your label is able to advance a position or two. With the awarding of Gold Bonuses next week, there are normally labels who will move up (or down) a few positions. Gold Bonuses are awarded when you've had an artist signed for 4 weeks and they've been on the eTracks for each of the 4 weeks. Help Questions During each week we field a few questions posted to the help request form. Most of the time, these are about game play or the rules. Occasionally there's a question about making a change to the website. But, by far the most common question is "Can you have (insert name of artist here) call me, I'm a real big fan." Well, to my disapointment, I don't hangout with the most popular artists. So sorry, I can't have them call you. The only help I can offer is to read the artist's bio on the FML website and follow links to their website to see if the have email newsletters (most do). By signing up for the news letter you may be offered special contests where the prize is to meet the artist. |
