Week 12: I'm a Pepper, She's a Pepper, He's a Pepper Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too? |
LOS ANGELES, CA Saturday Jun.24.2006 /FantasyMusicLeague.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers are topping the Alternative and Hot AC eTracks, and they've hopped onto CHR at number 9, making them number one in revenue again this week. It's good to be a Pepper.Popular artists James Blunt still tops the most held artist list with Fall Out Boy and Mary J. Blige right behind them. Season standings Fetzmonger and Amarapan are leading the charts. Seven hundred thousand is all that is separating first and second place. Stevemoose is holding a small lead against the fourth through six place teams. Prizes Diamond bonuses are awarded next week along with this season's prizes and someone is taking a Video iPod home. Others will receive iPod Shuffle, iTunes Gift Cards, Cash, FML Tee-shirts and more. Remember, prizes are awarded to the top 20 Open League Labels. So don't give up. Squeeze out ever dollar you can from your label. Strategy Here's a little game strategy. You may be a huge fan of Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, Gorillaz or Snoop Dogg, but they currently don't have a song on the eTracks hence aren't earning any revenue for the labels. The game is about researching and selecting the artists that will have the hottest songs on the eTracks during each 13 week season. It's not to say that these artists won't leap back on the charts next week with a new hit song or a resurgence of an older song. That's the excitement of this game. Some of the best players have said that by just visiting their radio station's website or the FML site to read the daily news stories they get a feel for who's up and coming hot and who's beginning to chill. Others say that they enjoy taking a time once a week to read news and review their roster. Either way works well, as long as you remember to make your trades before the Monday noon pt trade deadline. Suggestions If you have any suggestions on how to improve the game or changes to the website to make playing the game easier or more exciting, submit them on the Help Form. We look forward to hearing from the players. |
